    Organizational Diagnosis and Assessment is a comprehensive analysis of every critical aspect of an organization’s behavior and infrastructure and its causal relationship to the effectiveness and efficiency of the organizations performance.

 

 

    Whatever your objective, having an external unbiased facilitator may accentuate the effectiveness of your efforts.

 

 

    Organizational behavior is the cumulative sum of individual behavior and therefore has to be addressed appropriately by the change agent.  Traditionally, training has been the single most used tool for changing behavior. Unfortunately, training, in and by itself, is very ineffective in changing organizational or individual behavior.

    OD is much more important in the process of affecting behavioral change than is training itself.  Competent individuals usually will not perform in the desired fashion if the organization’s infrastructure and behavioral reinforcers are not enabling and reinforcing the desired behavior.  It is much easier to create competency and sustain growth in those competencies if the OD work that enables and reinforces the performance of the behavior has been complete.
