We believe our business exists to benefit our customers and students and,
through that commitment to them, the ownership of Misty River Consulting will
benefit.
We believe that the clients that we partner with
truly desire real, measurable, and significant change otherwise we would not go
into relationship with them.
About Our Engagements With Clients
We believe that our role is to assist clients learn about their
situation, to assist clients learn about alternatives for change, and to assist
our clients as they lead that change endeavor.
We believe that it is in the client’s best interest to remain responsible
for strategic or tactical analysis, decision-making, planning and/or the plan's
implementation. Our role, as a consultancy, is to teach, facilitate, and
influence the client in a manner that helps them be successful in these
endeavors.
We will help our clients develop the self
sufficiency to perform the needed improvement tasks themselves.
About Our Fees
We will believe that it is inappropriate, unethical, and essentially
wrong to enter a contractual agreement
with the client without the client understanding the total cost implications of
that arrangement.
We believe that our fees will reflect and be respectful of the responsibility,
trust, and strategic significance of the engagement we are involved in with our
client.
We do not support nor believe that the traditional
bait and hook strategy some firms use to sustain their revenue stream is
appropriate or ethical.
About the Consulting Profession
We believe that it is our responsibility to assume responsibility for
our competence, our caring, and our firm’s intentions especially since no
national or international certification process is mandatory.
We believe that it is the consultancy’s responsibility to develop client
self-sufficiency, not dependence.
We believe that it is of the utmost importance for our clients to question our
opinions, proposals, methods, etc. and that it is our responsibility to
facilitate this inquiry.
We believe that quiet, simple, straightforward, and
"non-glitzy" initiatives are the most effective means to assist organization's
move toward their performance objectives.
